Our Story
North of the River Handyman was founded in 2022 by Jeff Overton, a lifelong problem-solver with an unusual path to the trades. Jeff holds a degree in cell and molecular biology, conducted breast cancer research at the University of Kansas Medical Center, and taught high school physics and chemistry before starting the business to invest in the community he loves.
That same care, precision, and curiosity now goes into every repair. When Jeff shows up at your door, you get someone who takes pride in doing the job right — and standing behind it.
